Classy, savvy, smart; the singer for every woman, the woman for every man, she captures her audience the moment she walks on stage. And when she sings... ... "She sings in a silky smooth fashion that caresses the ear like brandy slides down the throat." ... Vincent Jackson, The Press of Atlantic City Lezlie has a unique and interesting background; she pursued a career in business and became a forerunner for women in the corporate world. She was a divestiture specialist and business broker. She and her partner purchased and owned companies throughout the Midwest. One of her acquisitions was a nightclub in Lake Oswego, Oregon, where she moved her family. She gave up the Board Room for the stage; when she began performing in her club, during this time she earned a degree in Music, formed her first big band (The Roseland Orchestra) and hosted a popular music/talk radio show. In 1992, she was hired to sing at the Desert Inn, Las Vegas, which began a three-year engagement there. Since then, she has performed in every major venue in Las Vegas and throughout the world. Her first CD "With Love Lezlie," Celebrity Records, features her husband of ten years, jazz great Buddy Greco and also features Don Menza and Carl Fontana.
"This recording really made me sit and
listen from start to finish...I first heard Lezlie in May at the Green Room in
London...Supper Clubs are not easy engagements but her relaxed easy style
captured immediate attention. A voice very similar to Peggy Lee, perfect
diction and always in tune." Her second CD, "FEVER!" A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee," was recorded and co-produced by the University of Nevada, and features songs from the show of the same name, which she wrote and co-produced with her husband, Buddy. The show opened at The Judy Bayley Theatre, Las Vegas and The Stoneham Theatre in Boston, to rave reviews. "Ms. Anders, dressed in a black sequined strapless gown, a stunning looking lady...singing "Lover" and "Fever" extremely well," ...Hey, big Spender," ..."Just for a Thrill" and "I'm a Woman." All Peggy Lee hits and Lezlie sang them to perfection. Lee would be proud," wrote Rex Reed, The New Yorker.
